Jay Pasternack has been in the field of substance
abuse, mental health and health promotion for the past 13 years.
Holding the position as the Youth Outreach Manager for the Donwood
Institute and later the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health.
Jay has been an integral part of developing and implementing Health
Promotion strategies for both the public and private sector presenting
over 500 motivational presentations to schools, parent groups, teachers,
counselors and private sector organizations. Jay is currently dividing
his time between his private practice and Alcohol and Drug Concerns
Inc. Jay is an accomplished clinician and a skilled presenter with
an easygoing manner which enables clients and families to feel comfortable
and secure that they are being well cared for. He has extensive
experience working with youth and families and is familiar with
treatment programs throughout the country. He has been in private
practice as counselor and Clinical Director of New Life Counseling
Services for the past twelve years.
Our staff is composed of a dedicated team of diverse
substance abuse professionals, with experience and training in chemical
dependency and related addictions. This includes Addiction Medicine
Specialists, Alcohol and Drug counsellors and Relapse Prevention
Specialists, Inpatient and out patient adolescents, teens and adults
case managers in and around the GTA.
Many of our staff are trained chemical dependency
counsellors themselves are in recovery and have credentials of the
heart and through personal experience, understand the recovery process.
Currently our main office is located at 4211 Yonge Street Suite
420, Toronto, Ontario with a number of additional meeting sites
across the GTA.
